Credit cards are a great way to make purchases, but they also have a great way for us to get in trouble. We all tend to get carried away with our spending, which can lead to a mountain of debt. Even if you aren’t carrying a balance, it’s easy to rack up interest charges unless you pay your cards off in full each month.

They do this because it’s in their best interest to have you have multiple cards with a variety of limits. While you’re building up your credit, you should limit your spending and refrain from using your credit cards for major purchases, such as home remodelling or major marketing campaigns. When you feel you have a solid start on establishing a good credit score, you can move up to a balance of between one and three cards.

You’ve got to have credit cards. You need to have at least two, three, or more, depending on how much you can afford to spend on things that cost money. The more cash you have tied up in cards, the more you’re burning through.

It’s hard to know how many cards you need for your financial life. There are so many variables to consider: your living costs, your income, your spending habits, and even your credit score. Getting a handle on your credit card situation is a good start to a more stable financial future.
